Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Scholarships, ICAR Scholarship Information
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Delhi conducts All India Entrance Examination every year. Admission to Under Graduate Programmes and awards to National Talent Scholarship are given based on this exam results.
National Talent Scholarship in Agriculture and Allied Subjects other than Veterinary Science, awards Rs. 800/- per month to meritorious candidates in this Examination in all the ten subjects of graduation provided the candidate takes admission in any Institution not falling in his/ her own home state. Usually this exam is held on May.
Eligibility:
The Candidate must be at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years. No relaxation of age will be allowed to candidate of any category. He/She should be an India National. He /She must have passed and obtained not less than 60% marks (for General Category) and 50% marks (for SC/ST/PH category) of the total marks in PCB/PCM/PCA combinations in 10 +2 examination. He/She must also have passed in English at 10+2 stage. Any candidate having compartment/Supplementary in any subject in the qualifying examinations i.e.10+2 is not eligible for Admission. Candidates should have passed Physics, Chemistry and Agriculture/ Biology / Mathematics as full subjects separately at 10+2 level.
Scheme of Examination:
There will be one question paper consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Agriculture for Stream ?A and Physics, Chemistry and mathematics for Stream- B as per eligibility and choice of the subjects as defined in Information Bulletin. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.
Reservation of Seats
There would be reservation of seats to the extent 15% for Scheduled Caste, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe and 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates in all subjects.

Information Bulletins with Application Forms can be obtained against Cash payment of Rs.400/- +Rs.10/= sale charges for general Category and Rs.200/- +10 (sale charge) for S.C. The Bank, Agricultural Universities and ICAR Institutes will not send the information Bulletin and forms by post and thus, no requests should be made to them in this regard. Ehar (W.B.). Information Bulletins with Application Forms will also be available from the following ICAR Institutes. (1) Central Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair (Andaman & Nicobar Islands), (2) Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Versova, Mumbai (Maharashtra), (3) ICAR Research Complex, Ela, Old Goa, (4) NDRI Karnal (Haryana), (5) ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umroi Road, Umiam (Meghalaya), (6) National Academy of Agricultural Research & Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad ? 500 030 (A.P.). These can be obtained up to April 08, 2005 against payment thorough Bank Draft of Rs. 400/- for General Category & Rs. 200/- for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Physically Handicapped category drawn in favour of Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR, New Delhi payable at New Delhi.
Information Bulletins with Application Forms can also be obtained by post up to April 04, 2005 by sending a written request along with demand draft of Rs. 450/- (Rs. 400/- as cost + Rs. 50/- towards postal and handling charges) for General Category and Rs. 250/- (Rs. 200/- as cost + Rs. 50/- towards postal and handling charges) for SC, ST and PH category in favour of Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR, New Delhi payable at New Delhi along with a self addressed envelope (size 12? x 10?) without postage from The Controller of Examination (Education Division), Room No. 226, ICAR, KAB-II, Pusa, New Delhi?110 012.
