Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship, Canadian Commonwealth Scholarships Information in India
Scholarships are offered to Indian nationals (nominations are sent to the International Council for Canadian Studies) under the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Plan for Master's and Doctoral level studies in the subject fields mentioned below.
Subject fields Political Science / International Relations with particular emphasis on Canada ? India relations, Education, Media Studies, Architecture, Geography, Management Studies, Computer Science, Social Administration, Economic Planning, Health Science (including Food Nutrition Management), Law, Environment Studies.
Tenure of Award For Master's degree, two academic years and the intervening summer, except in cases where a shorter period is required. The maximum tenure of an award for a doctoral degree may be four calendar years, except in cases where a shorter period is required. Non renewable scholarships to undertake research in Canada for up to 12 months are also available to assist individuals who are enrolled in a doctoral program as a provisional or full fledge student at a university in their home or a third country.
Eligibility Candidates must have completed tertiary education in English medium. The candidates must have completed Bachelor's degree for Mater's level and Master's degree for Doctoral level in the relevant subject field securing 55% or above marks in Humanities and Social Science group and 60% or above marks in Engineering and Technology group. For study at Doctoral level, a candidate must have 2 year teaching / research experience as on October (exact date is specified in the notification published in the Employment News) after obtaining Postgraduate degree relating to the opted field of study
